Winter Puzzles – 8 Free Printable Puzzles
Puzzles help to reinforce concentration, persistence, logic, critical thinking, visualization, and fine motor skills. That’s a lot of positives for an activity (esp. for this one that can be prepared at such little cost).
Introducing new seasons and celebrations with puzzles is a fun way to start off the celebrations. Puzzles can be made from family photos, magazine photos, Christmas cards, and pictures drawn and colored by the children.
We’re going to get you started with 8 FREE printable puzzles that increase in complexity from 5 to 19 pieces and print on 8½” x 11” sheets of paper or cardstock. Each includes a Control Card that the child can use for visual reinforcement.
These puzzles are small enough that they can fit into clear plastic sandwich baggies (the Control Card makes it obvious which puzzle it is), or use labeled envelopes to house
It’s that wonderful time of year when we want to celebrate the season and wish all our family and friends a very Happy Holidays. We do this by giving them our time, our attention, and gifts.
But what do you give the teachers?
Your gift selection will of course depend on the personal relationship you have with the teacher, how long they’ve taught your children, your personal feelings on gift-giving, and your budget.
Our top ideas:
1. A hardcover book for the classroom or school library, inscribed by your family.
2. A gift card to a local Coffee/Tea Shop, or Book Store.
3. Offer your time to prepare new materials.
4. Art supplies for a special upcoming art project.
5. Gather several families and make a group donation for new classroom materials.
To help make your gift-giving easier this year we’re going to give 1 lucky reader a $25 Gift Certificate that can be gifted (given) to a favorite teacher! The Gift Certificate will be sent to the winner in a pdf via email and will contain a coupon code.
This $25 Gift Certificate is valid in our online eStore for any of our printable Montessori materials (there are over 1220 printables to choose from).
